The Polar Science Early Career Community Office (PSECCO) is seeking enthusiastic postdoctoral researchers to join an organizing team to help plan and steer the activities of the 2023 Polar Postdoctoral Leadership Workshop (PPLW) – happening in/near Boulder, Colorado, May 15 to 19, 2023. The workshop will bring 20 US-based postdoctoral researchers studying Antarctic and Arctic topics together from across the country to activate leadership skills that they can bring into their future careers. Individuals on the organizing team would be responsible for shaping the focus and content of the workshop, inviting speakers and finalizing workshop logistics. The 2023 PPLW Organizing Team will be composed of five postdoctoral researchers, working in partnership with the PSECCO Director. Each organizing team member will be secured a spot in the workshop. Participation in the workshop is free and travel expenses will be fully covered for attendees selected through an application process.
If you are interested in joining the 2023 PPLW Organizing Team, please fill out this short interest form—sharing your name, location, discipline, and motivation for applying no later than December 10th at 11.59pm MT.* Feel free to email psecco@colorado.edu with any questions.
*Please note that most of the organization of this workshop will take place over the months of December 2022 to April 2023, with an important initial planning phase before broad workshop applications open in early February 2023. Please do not volunteer to be part of the organizing team if you do not have the capacity to dedicate time to it over these months.
