April 2026 PSECCO Operations & Funding Update

PSECCO is entering a period of transition, and we want to keep our community informed about what to expect over the coming months.
From May through August, PSECCO will be operating with reduced staff capacity as the NSF award that has supported our work for the past four years moves toward the end of its no‑cost extension in August 2026. During this time, our team will focus on three core priorities:
- continuing to distribute our monthly newsletter
- supporting our partnerships
- completing in‑progress activities
A proposal for three additional years of PSECCO support is currently under review.If this proposal is not funded, PSECCO will wind down all of its operations contingent on staffing support in August. However, regardless of continued funding, platforms like the PSECCO Community Slack and mailing list will remain live and available.
Because of these shifts, response times on PSECCO matters may be longer than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our small team works to support the community within this more focused scope.
