Join PSECCO at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting for a session focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA).
Session Description:
Are you an early career polar researcher going to the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting? Join other Arctic, Antarctic and high alpine researchers at a social co-hosted by PSECCO, Polar Impact and USAPECS on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 6-8 pm PT.
Join PSECCO at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting for a talk focused on challenges and needs identified by the polar early career researcher community. The polar regions are experiencing rapid, dramatic impacts due to climate change that require innovative and transdisciplinary solutions, which in turn require a well-supported and connected interdisciplinary community of scientists. PSECCO aims to foster exactly such a diverse, international, and multidisciplinary network of scientists early in their careers.
Join us on the evening of Thursday, November 16 from 5pm to 7pm MT at the Rayback Collective (2775 Valmont Rd. Boulder, CO) to meet other polar early career (and other career) scientists in the region!
Participants will gain an understanding of how to explore ways to be supported professionally and personally, from seeking out traditional mentors to pursuing personal accountability.
